    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles hereby supports the Resolution 15 passed on March 3, 2025 by the Corporation of the City of Sarnia, regarding the Carbon Tax;

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney; his Cabinet, Leaders of Opposition; our local Member of Parliament (MP); and all Ontario Municipalities.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Cash Disbursement Register for the month of March 2025 be received in the amount of:

  • Recommended Resolution

    WHEREAS a balanced budget for 2025 was presented to Council at the Regular Meeting of Council on April 16, 2025 with total revenue and expenditures of $6,733,935.05;

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles hereby approves the 2025 Budget.

    WHEREAS by Resolution Number 2022-163 Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles adopted Policy HR-004 Volunteer Policy;

    AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary to amend this Policy;

    AND WHEREAS Council has read the amended Policy HR-005 Volunteer Policy;

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT that Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles hereby repeals Policy HR-004 Volunteer Policy and adopts Policy HR-005 Volunteer Policy as attached.

    WHEREAS Council has read the Policy HR-006 Four (4) Day Modified Work Week Policy - Union Members;

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT that Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles hereby adopts Policy HR-006 Four (4) Day Modified Work Week Policy - Union Members as attached.

  • Recommended Resolution

    WHEREAS Council has read the Policy HR-007 Four (4) Day Modified Work Week Policy - Non-Union Staff;

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT that Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles hereby adopts Policy HR-007 Four (4) Day Modified Work Week Policy - Non-Union Staff as attached.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles awards the contract for the supply and application of liquid calcium (35%) in 2025 to Pollard Highway Products in the amount of $76,125.00 plus HST.

    WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of St.-Charles deems it desirable to declare certain items and / or equipment as surplus;
     
    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles declares the following as surplus:

    1. 2012 Western Star; and,
    2. Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment System;

    AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Director of Operation list these items for sale on GovDeals.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the Municipality of St.-Charles awards the three (3) year contract for roadside and lagoon area grass cutting to TMI Brushing in the following amounts plus HST:

    • $6,250.00 for 2025;
    • $6,437.50 for 2026; and,
    • $6,766.25 for 2027.
